Office Guidelines for you as our patient

Thank you for choosing Palo Alto Smiles as your dental care provider. We are committed to providing gentle and honest dental care at the highest quality. The following is a statement of our general guidelines and information that we would like to communicate with you.

Regarding Insurances:

As a courtesy, our office will bill your insurance for the services you will receive. Please be aware that some of the services may be partially or fully non-covered by your specific plan, and the balance technically becomes your responsibility. We do our best to check with your insurance and communicate the coverage estimate with you prior to the treatment. Please make sure we have the most accurate and updated information about your insurance ahead of time so we can help you better in this regard.

We accept most insurances including Aetna, Cigna, and MetLife PPO Plans.

We don’t participate in any HMO, Medi-Cal, Denti-Cal, or Medicaid insurance at this time.

Uninsured and Underinsured:

If you do not have Dental insurance or a needed treatment is non-covered by your insurance, we have payment options to help you receive the treatment you need. Please ask us about 0% financing and other discounted rates for uninsured or underinsured patients. We also accept all major credit cards, as well as cash or check.

Dental Emergencies:

Same-Day appointments are available. Same-Day is for evaluation during weekday business hours.

For some cases treatment needs to be rescheduled or referred to a specialist.

We don’t prescribe or give out narcotics.

Keeping Appointments:

Due to the amount of time allotted by the doctor and his team for your scheduled procedure, please give us at least 48 hours notice in case you have to reschedule your appointment. We hope you can keep your original appointment as we are often booked out and the appointment availability may delay your care.

Thanks again for letting us be your dental care provider, and please let us know if you have any questions or concerns. We are here to put the CARE in Dental Care!
